I had been a homeless man before the outbreak. The first few spots had been featured on the local news maybe two days out of seven. Then more and more people caught it and spread it. The horror of this plague could not be contained. The Upper crust gave the disease a new acronyme, something that made it more humanized less scientific. A preacher gave the rest of us the name it's now known by.
"The plague has been spread by the sin of many!" cried the preacher standing on his soapbox with a bible gripped in an age spotted hand. He shook as he spoke and his once fine suit coat shook and waved along with him.
"God and the Lord Jesus told us that those who ask for repentance shall be forgiven! But the sinners have been many and the asking has been wane! The end times are upon us for as the demon said to the Lord Jesus, the demon has repeated to me this very day! The demon has told me by the mouths of the sick and by the very souls of those who have succumb: My name is Legion: For we are Many!" Spittle flew from the man's empty mouth, his teeth long rotten away, his eyes were wide and he seemed to gave at me and yet everyone in the street. He kept going for three days before he dropped dead right off his box.
